Day 6: An interesting case study in embedded freelancing

Here's an interesting case study in embedded freelancing world.

Meet Felix, he loves to share his projects on LinkedIn. He specialized in LVGL UI framework and ESP32. He loves tinkering with display modules.

I checked his profile, and he started to post March 2021.

He's just sharing his progress, and his findings, around once a week (even once a month).

I really like him because of his consistency, with that consistency, I know he would land clients for freelancing, that was my hypothesis.

And then I asked him: "Do you get freelance offers from LinkedIn?"

"Yes, but I don't have capacity to handle them all" he answered.

"Because of time?" I clarified.

"Yes".

Now, it becomes clear that even for someone like Felix, who has posted "only" around once a week, freelance clients are difficult to handle because the demand is high, supply is low.

I feel him.
